We would like to introduce a Long-term support (LTS) Kernel for CloudLinux 9. It is for those who prioritize long-term stability, you can switch to the LTS CloudLinux kernel while still benefiting from all features of CloudLinux.

 

A Stable Kernel Foundation

The CloudLinux kernel is based on CL9.2, ensuring a more stable and reliable foundation for your servers.

Note: kernel is based on CL9.2 for the first release and can be increased in the future

 

Advanced Features

The LTS kernel will be compatible with the latest kernel module and CloudLinux functionality, so you will have access to cutting-edge tools and CloudLinux functionalities.

 

Patched Security Vulnerabilities

This release includes all closed CVEs from the latest CL9.5, offering the highest level of protection against known vulnerabilities.

 

Summary

So, in general  you’ll receive a more stable kernel with all the latest features, capabilities of CloudLinux and patched CVEs

 

Hot to install

 

dnf install -y --allowerasing kernel-lts kmod-lve-lts perf-lts bpftool-lts

> reboot

 

After the reboot, you should delete regular kernels to prevent regular updates from overwriting default boot kernel:


> dnf remove kernel-core
