RESOLVED. Gradual Rollout slot 4 is paused due to an issue in mod-lsapi 1.1-79/1.1-80 posttrans scriptlet

rolloutpaused.png-3

The gradual rollout slot 4 for the following packages: liblsapi for CL7-CL9, mod_lsapi for CL7-CL9, ea-apache24-mod_lsapi for CL7-CL9, and httpd24-mod_lsapi was paused due to an issue in mod_lsapi posttrans scriptlet in versions v1.1-79 and v1.1-80.

The problem arises if two things happen simultaneously:

  1. A backward-incompatible binary interface change between liblscapi.so and mod_lsapi.so is brought with a  mod_lsapi release.
  2. Apache configs contain “lsapi_…” directives not protected with <IfModule …>.

Possible workaround for this issue:

To resolve issues with the missing rollout slot 4 package repository, which has become unavailable after the pause, run the command yum clean all.

The task CLOS-3184 is already in progress, and our team is fully focused on releasing the fix as soon as possible.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Update from 24.02.2025

1. The fixed mod_lsapi-1.1-81 is available in Beta for CL7, CL8 and CL9.

2. As usual, liblsapi, ea-apache24-mod_lsapi and httpd24-mod_lsapi packages with the same version are accompanying it.

3. Upgrades from both affected (1.1-79, 1.1-80) and unaffected (< 1.1-79) versions should pass smoothly.

4. The fix increases installation reliability by reducing system state collection in intermediate install phases. Additionally, it improves Plesk vhost configuration templates.

5. No feature reverts were made. All features expected in 1.1-79 and 1.1-80 are present.

6. The fix targets all CL OS versions and all Control Panels, but the investigation showed that CL7+Plesk was the only configuration surely affected.

7. The rollout for CL OS is planned on 25.02.

8. Release to Beta and Stable for Ubuntu 22 is planned in the beginning of March.

9. Both the customers affected by the incident and the ones waiting for new features are encouraged to try 1.1-81 from Beta.
