CloudLinux Now Offers Seamless Switching Between Editions
CloudLinux has made transitioning between editions smoother than ever. With all license editions unified under a single software package, customers can easily switch licenses and activate new features. Now, users can seamlessly move from CL Solo to CL Admin/Shared/Shared PRO, regardless of LVE support, and explore multiple transition paths for greater flexibility and choice.
Multiple transition paths are now available, offering greater flexibility:
- CL Solo -> CL Shared
- CL Solo -> CL Shared PRO
- CL Solo -> CL Admin
- CL Admin -> CL Shared
- CL Admin -> CL Shared PRO
- CL Shared -> CL Shared PRO
- CL Shared PRO -> CL Shared
Less common transition directions, like CL Admin -> CL Solo and CL Shared PRO -> CL Solo, will be released by the end of March.
Data Preservation
Users need not worry about data loss during transitions. CloudLinux ensures that essential information such as XRay tasks and Centralized Monitoring stats remain intact throughout the process.
Streamlined Conversion Process
Converting between editions is a straightforward process with CloudLinux.
Users simply need to:
- Obtain a new key from https://cln.cloudlinux.com
- Run rhnreg_ks --activationkey=<new_key> --force
By following these steps, users can seamlessly upgrade or switch editions without hassle.
